3 FUN ACTIVITIES TO PRACTICE PLACE VALUE

Place Value is one of the skills that most grade levels learn at the beginning of the year. It is sometimes difficult finding center activities that are fun and engaging for the students. I've created these 3 activities that are sure to engage your kiddos as they learn these important skills.

Skills covered are: rounding, writing numbers in standard, expanded, and word form, base ten representations of numbers.

This sorting game is challenging enough even for your high achievers. Just take a look at some of the cards to see the level of difficulty.

Included is also a fun board game where students get to round to nearest hundred and write numbers in word and standard forms. Because it is set up as a game, students won't even notice they are practicing math skills. Better than any worksheet if you ask me!

Lastly, this rounding scavenger hunt game gets your kiddos out of their seats and working cooperatively. They solve the problem on one sheet and must find the answer on another sheet to solve the next one!

So, what are you waiting for? Get these activities and watch your kids have a blast while mastering place value.

These three activities can be found on my TPT store!

What fun games and activities do you do with your students to practice place value?
